Everyone loses minerals from their skeletons from around the age of 30 and about 4- 5 % of women and 1- 2 % of men develop osteoporosis (brittle bones) the biggest cause of fractures in elderly people. The best solution for this problem is doing regular exercise in the form of yoga, meditation, and relaxation, stretching, besides jogging, dancing, and skipping help maintains the mineral density of the skeleton.

The diet should include Phyto- estrogens, which is found in soya products, sprouted seeds, and grains may be beneficial. Extra calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper have a positive effect in maintaining the bone strength. The Rescue Remedy would be invaluable for relieving the pain and shock linked to a fracture.

Homeopathic remedy that should be administered twice daily for up to three weeks is Symphytum6c. This is particularly used for any fracture that is proving slow to heal. The established disease can also be treated with drugs that help to remineralize low-density bone with calcium and phosphorus salts.

Trapped in a disease, and want to treat it in the best possible way, remember there are two ways of treating any disease; the combative method and the other is the preventive method.
What is taught in colleges and research institutes is the combative way while what the individual and physician seeks is the preventive method. The fact is that if we teach ourselves and our offspring to live in harmony with nature and abide by the laws of nature we are sure to be the future masters of the earth.
These thoughts are not mere dreams of a visionary because when we see the wonderful changes wrought in an individual over a period of time of rational living and treatment the ideals may be realized within a few generations.
We will need neither gold nor money nor influence to win in the race of life, our innate powers of body and soul will make us emerge as victors in every circumstance.

You are in your teens and are feeling shy to go in public all because of a bad skin. Acne mainly affects the adolescents, reflecting the hormonal changes at this age. The glands in the skin of the face, chest, shoulders, and upper back secrete more of the lubricant sebum, the skin's natural oil. Glands blocked with sebum and dead cells become swollen and infected, forming pus- filled pimples and red spots.
A whole food diet and exercise are considered to be of vital to increase the flow of oxygen to the surface of the skin. Exposure to sunlight as a source of vitamin D is recommended, and intensive hydrotherapy as steam is suggested. A fresh mixed juice of carrot, celery, and grapefruit should be taken twice daily. Boil a sprig of rosemary or thyme in a pint, after cooling ads some lemon juice and use the water for bathing.
Chamomile tea helps to allay the anxiety and stress that often triggers acne. If your skin is normal mix 50 ml soya oil and 1 tsp of almond oil with 10 drops of your chosen oil, for extra sensitive skin add 5 drops wheatgerm and apply twice daily, followed with a hot compress. Avoid oily or junk food, apply anti- acne cream, remember not to squeeze or pick spots as it spreads the infection and causes scarring.
Acne can be cured and improved- do not get depressed about it.

Heart attacks are very common not only among the older generation but even among those who are in their 20's or 30's. One of the reasons of a cardiac arrest is high blood, millions have been spent in researching the causes, developing new drugs to control and establish preventive measures.

Hypertension is a silent killer as it is often symptom less. The best prevention is to exercise regularly, shed those extra pounds and maintain a healthy lifestyle with good eating habits. Preparations of motherwort are prescribed to reduce blood pressure, and infusion of broom for diuretic properties.

Extract of kava kava relieves pain and calms emotional upset, and is especially useful for hypertension- related headaches. Bach flower remedies and Olive remedies are also beneficial to a person suffering from BP. Inhaling essence of ylang- ylang can calm you vexed or upset. Go for regular check ups as untreated hypertension damages kidneys, eyes, heart muscles and other organs.

Karmic Healing
November 19, 2008

What has survived in the East as the teaching of the Law of Karma presupposes the Law of Incarnation. Our karma comes from not only the current past but also from the unfinished tasks of the previous incarnations.
It is helpful to understand and know where this all comes from as it enables us to learn the lesson associated with karma there by overcoming our limitations and freeing us from all the inhibitions.

In this sense it is a healing experience and hence is termed as karmic healing. The experience is vivid and clear that it remains with us for a lifetime; on the contrary dreams are forgotten within a short span of time.
Only those who forget that the spirit lives in them are subjected to unrelenting fate. So keep reminding yourself that you are the spirit and only you are capable of changing your destiny. I know it will not happen in one day, but if you are determined and are persistent you are sure to achieve your goal.

Heal Your Inner Child
November 18, 2008

Oh no! You are lost again and don't know where to go, and what to do. I know you are trying hard to hold on to yourself and the child within you, as it is slipping from your hands with each passing day. Yes you are lost in the whirlpool of adulthood, its responsibilities, tensions and worries.

But it is never too late you can still catch up and get connected to your inner self and the child in you. All you have to do is take some time off and take a peek in your heart and mind, see where you were at the age of 4 or 5 and what your life was then.
See yourself interacting with the family members and the fun you had at school, the pranks you played with your friends, the bond with your teachers and elders, and all the fun and excitement you experienced at play time.

.
If you are able to connect to yourself and remember the happy and cherished moments of your life you have been successful in finding the inner child. The next important thing to be done is to nurture the innocent and playful child which was wandering haywire. Learn to enjoy the small things in life, remember good things in life always come in small packages. Share your feelings and thoughts, and try to be playful without worrying about your public image, play foe the sheer pleasure pf it.

If you try whole heartedly your inner child will soon be more visible and active giving a new momentum to your life.

Indigestion and Acidity
November 18, 2008

John had been partying for the three consecutive days eating all possible things and now he was having an abdominal discomfort and burning pain in the chest and lower throat. These all are symptoms of indigestion, which is caused by hot and spicy food and acid flowing back from the stomach. A hiatus hernia, in which part of the stomach passes into the chest cavity through the hole for the oesophagus is responsible, causing belching, bloating, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

The cure for this is to have small meals every 2 to 3 hours to reduce the stomach acid and soothe painful inflammation. Aloe vera juice taken orally before all the main meals and before bedtime helps combat peptic ulceration. Follow recipes containing herbs like ginger, bay leaves, thyme, mint, or savory.

Avoid drinking strong tea, coffee, and smoking. Lose excess weight to help combat reflux and raise the head of the bed to reduce night time reflux.
Besides these remedies consult the doctor in case of extremities and take regular medication to provide the body with the required vitamins, proteins and B complex.

Toothache And Bad Breath
November 17, 2008

Another toffee and Bubbles will have a toothache, here goes the siren and your child already has a terrible toothache. Toothache is a common pediatric problem that results from pressure upon dental nerve at the tooth's centre. Chalky tartar around the base of the teeth causes numerous problems, including bad breath.

To combat mouth acid and reduce decay, reduce the intake of sugary foods, chewing nuts, apples, and raw vegetables strengthen the teeth. Teeth need calcium, but the absorption of calcium is aided by vitamin D made in the skin when exposed to sunlight.
Sweeten bad breath by chewing a small handful of parsley. Cloves being an antiseptic fights bad breath and eases sore gums, you can also add 1 drop of essential oil of myrrh, a precious resin with powerful analgesic and antiseptic properties a tumbler of water and use as a mouthwash.

Of course follow a strict routine of brushing and flossing your teeth after every meal, use toothpaste and mouthwash containing fluoride. Use disclosing tablets to reveal tartar build up and visit the dentist at least once in six months.

Home Remedy For Ulcers
November 14, 2008

Having a problem talking and even eating your regular meals, well I can understand because a friend of mine had the same problem. He worked late nights had a disturbed sleeping pattern and also ate oily and junk food, due to which he perpetually had mouth ulcers or peptic ulcers.

Ulcers can be really horrifying and painful at times, developing into big and very sensitive wounds which take long to heal. But you can try these home remedies which have been tried and tested for many years.
1. Eat dry grated coconut, or keep it in the mouth where there is an ulcer.
2. Apply tomato juice to the ulcer as it soothes the pain.
3. Drink raw cabbage juice as it has an anti-oxidant property and is very helpful in treating ulcers.
4. Avoid citrus fruit juices and citrus fruits as it is already acidic in nature and may aggravate the burning sensation.
5. Besides these simple home remedies you can also apply an anti- ulcer gel, take B-complex tablets, which relieves the pain faster.

Try these tips and let me know how it has benefitted you.

Let's Talk
November 13, 2008

Children are exposed to a barrage of emotions since their childhood, some of them confuse them, and some make them happy, while some sadden them. They will learn to cope with their feeling as they grow old, but it is necessary to guide their thoughts and their thinking process in the right direction, so that they don't keep wandering.

We as kids always needed our parent's attention, and affection. Similarly we should never ignore the kids and their feelings, the child should be given a chance to express his or her feelings and feel comfortable to tell their opinion.

They must not be ignored, instead given a patient ear to all their views. Unless we don't broach up the topic about the reason for a particular reaction of the kids or why they are unhappy or sad, they will not talk it out. Due to which they build a wall around themselves where through which no one can enter.

Try and give them a helping hand and be there like a pillar of support, give them the confidence that we will always be there for them come what may. Remember while allowing them to cope with their emotions, a little discussion and motivation would do wonders to their self esteem.

I know it is very easy to tell someone to always be optimistic and happy, but in day to day life it equally difficult. Every individual has a different lifestyle and this lifestyle has its own way of teaching how we should lead our lives.

There are certain standard key factors which are the responsible for the happiness and contentment in our lives. If we are satisfied in these areas we generally tend to be happier. Most of us work to earn money for financial security and to satisfy our daily needs, we wish to have all the material things in life which give us comfort and luxury, and of course love, affection, shelter, and good health. Not to forget social and spiritual stability and safety.

These are certain key factors that unquestionably are the soul of our being and happiness.
Lifestyle is only a part of the happiness equation, our attitude towards life and the daily experiences also have a great impact on the level of happiness. After all it is all in the mind, so be positive and never leave hope, believe in yourself and trust the All Mighty up there.

Raw Food For Raw Kids
November 11, 2008

"Oh no! Rita is again down with fever and had a severe spasm last night",  was what a friend of mine told the other day, this is a common problem citied in most of the houses where the kids are totally on junk or cooked food. Now a day's kids are more prone to have unhealthy eating habits as parents themselves are least concerned about it and try to find an easy way out.
As a result kids tend to be more fussy and stubborn about what they eat and do not indulge into eating any type of healthy food, which they actually should be eating. The level of success of improving your child's diet depends a lot on the parent's confidence and persistence.
No child will willingly opt for raw veggies or fruits if an option like chips or pasta is given to him, it is the parent's conscious efforts to convince the child to enjoy the raw food and how beneficial it would be for him. For achieving this goal we as parents have to be convinced, because if we are ambivalent about making healthy changes in our lifestyle, we cannot expect our children do accept it readily.
The positive effect that diet has on the behavior, mental and physical conditions is unbelievable. After all it is we, who have to pave the way towards improving our children's quality and quantity of life.

Alzheimer's is a fast growing disorder among many beyond a particular age, but the reason behind this disorder is the over production of amyloid- beta protein in the brain. Besides the failure of the body to degrade them leads to the formation of clumps in the brain, which in turn results in the blockage of the blood flow to the brain.
Aggravation of these proteins causes dead cells, inflammation in the brain, leading to a cognitive decline in the bran functioning. Many fruits have polyphenols having an anti- oxidant property reducing the deposition of the amyloid protein. One such fruit having a large percentage of polyphenol are grapes, the grape fruit extract helps minimize the accumulation of the Alzheimer's causing protein.
Not only that, it reduces inflammation of brain and also its cognitive function.  Thus incorporating grape fruit extract in the diet is proven to be beneficial in cases of Alzheimer's.

Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food, is what Hippocrates the father of medicine has said. Where as we live to eat, paying least heed to what is good for us so as to stay fit and healthy.
iLoveButter.jpgMost diseases are caused by the lack of vital nutrients and vitamins and not simply by an invasion of external agents. Instead it is the manifestation of the organism's to heal itself. Thus the type of food we eat is of utmost importance to keep ourselves healthy and the biological clock ticking. The adequate supply of all the vital nutrients to our body helps fight the body against all the infections and repair and maintain itself.
Raw food and juices is one of the best forms of food and they contain the highest percentage of enzymes that are responsible for n number of chemical reactions throughout the body. When the food is cooked more than 30% of its nutrients are lost in the bargain.
One of the key to good health is the consumption of good healthy food, which has a profound and positive effect on our total well- being. Good health means absence of any disease or illness, so work towards eating fresh and raw fruits and vegetables.

Our body is very intelligent as it knows how to bring itself back to wholeness in proper given conditions. Life Force Energy (LFE) also described as the Prana in the eastern culture powers the brain, all the vital organs, and every aspect of the anatomy.
Without enough Prana our bodies will gradually deteriorate and stop functioning eventually falling sick and bed- ridden. Thus we need to amplify and balance the LFE clearing all the emotional, spiritual, and physical blockages in order to allow the free flow of the Prana to our entire body.
All we need to is to redirect our energies in the correct direction and this can be done with the help of the healing power of Quantum Touch, which not only helps in treating an ailment but also has long lasting effects

Positive Vibrations
November 6, 2008

The phone rings and with trembling hand I pick up the receiver only to hear that I have lost the contract, yes this was the second contract tat I failed to get. I was really disturbed and depressed, and cursing myself, for not being able to crack it again. After a few days there was news that anew contract was to be tendered, but after two losses I had lost all hopes and could not gather the courage to enroll for another failure.
When a thought struck me, am I going in the right direction? Is it true that I really cannot do it or is it just in the mind? That was a turning point in my life; yes it was the mindset that needed a little over oiling and maintenance.
All we need to do is focus on the positive energies in you, reassuring yourself that everything around is good and beautiful. This is the positive healing method, a birth right of every individual that we fail to use. Just by keeping yourself in a positive vibration and focusing on your subject in the most natural state of wellness, we can motivate them to ease their resistance to their own wellbeing.
Be optimistic even in the worst of times and see yourself bloom like a flower in a garden giving fragrance to everyone around you and the calm feeling that it endues in you is so much more satisfying and beautiful

Know Thy Self
November 6, 2008

So you have stumbled upon this blog, as a matter of sheer of coincidence, but it actually might be what you are looking for, the answer to all your questions on healing and spirituality. One of the biggest problem with today's world is the quick fix mentality, yes it truly is. If we have any medical problem we immediately consult a doctor, or pop in a pill to give us instant relief, if we are tired and stressed out we take a nap or a nice bath and massage.
So what does this all depict we try and solve every problem at the surface level, that means just prima facie the question is answered, the underlying problem remains unsolved and this is a very shabby way of resolving any issue.
We must remember that each one of us is capable and unique in our own very special way; the only hindrance is that we are unaware of our abilities. It is not all that tough you see, if a little conscious efforts are taken in the right direction we can soon master ourselves towards self improvement.

Thank you God for the world so sweet
Thank you God for the food we eat
Thank you God for the birds that sing
Thank you God for everything
Prayer Most of us as children have learnt this prayer in our kindergarten and we used to religiously say it everyday, but are we still offering our prayers to God? Prayer works and it works for everyone whether black or white, we are all equal in his eyes.
Prayer has magical powers, there is no specific time to pray and no hard core method of praying it just has to be with full heart, true faith, and clear mind. There should be no blockages when we are praying to the All Mighty he is there to take of us if we sincerely remember Him.
It has been proved scientifically that prayers can do wonders even in medical cases associated with activity of enzymes, growth rate of leukemia cells, healing of wounds, firing rate of pacemaker cells, mutation of bacteria, and germination of seeds.
Prayers are not only beneficial for ones own self, but also for others, whether we are there with the ailing person or not, distance does not matter God listens to us from any corner of the world. There is immense power in prayers; it gives us peace of mind and stability of body and thoughts.
Even doctors believe that if prayed with the patients before and after a surgery it has a positive effect on both the doctors and the patients and helps in a speedy recovery. So pray not only in time of need but regularly and feel the positive vibes in you and your environment.

The past is always reflected in your present day to day life. There is an old quote, “we learn from our mistakes”, and it is true as every person takes lessons from his experiences. But there are times when we cannot get over things so easily, we are entangled in the past so much that we refuse to see what the future has in store.
Life is not always a bed of roses, there are bitter as well as happy and pleasant occasions in our life, and each one teaches us something which we might overlook and keep thinking of all the negative effects it had on us.
To see an opportunity in every problem and to teach our mind to close the old chapter and begin a new one there is a comprehensive program, Clearing the Slate, that combines knowledge and healing of our minds. If interested in this program please click here.
